What does your hair test screen for?

Tests for 12 substances, including:

AMP, MET, BAR, BZD, THC, COC, PCP, OPI200, OXY, MTD, BUR, FEN, 6-AM  

How private are my results?

Extremely. The only identifier is the 8-digist pin code that you receive with your test. You use this to retrieve your results. No names, birthdays, or similar personal information is used or stored by KNOWN or our lab.

How long does it take to receive my test?

Around 3-5 days. All orders are shipped same-day if possible, or the next business day (excluding Sunday). You will receive a USPS tracking number automatically by email when your order has processed.

How do I collect the hair sample?

Following the simple instructions, you will collect the specified amount of hair as directed and place it in the labeled plastic bag. Generally, it is 1 and 1/2" and 90 strands of hair -- about the circumference of a small pencil. The process takes less than 5 minutes. Please ensure you provide sufficient hair for the analysis. Failure to provide enough hair will result in "user error," and your test will be cancelled by the lab, making it ineligible for a refund, unfortunately.

How do I get my sample to the lab?

Your package will contain a labeled, plastic bag with the supplies for collection. Once collected, you will place the sample back in the bag, and inside the pre-paid return envelope. Be sure to keep the ID card (a branded business card with a blue sticker) with you to read your results.

How do I get my results?

Once the lab has received the results, you can log-in to using the QR code on the branded ID business card and the 8-digit code on the blue sticker. The code is how you will retrieve your results.

How quickly do I get my hair test results?

You'll receive confidential lab results in approximately 5 business days after the lab receives your hair sample. Due to the multiple steps required to prepare and analyze hair, it cannot be expedited.

What are your test quality standards?

All of our tests are CLIA-Waived, as well as SAMHSA-Certified. These both represent the highest level of standards applied to at-home drug tests.

What about returns and refunds?

We’re happy to accept returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is still sealed and unused. To keep things safe and fair for everyone, here’s what needs to stay unopened:

  • Hair test pouch (the blue security seal must still be intact)
  • Instant test (sealed in its original sealed, packaging)
  • Large, clear protective bag (blue seal unbroken)

Due to the nature of testing products, we can’t accept returns on items that have been opened—your safety is our top priority.

Once we receive your return, we’ll refund your original payment method, minus a small 10% restocking fee to help cover shipping and repackaging costs, within 5 business days.

  • Place a return-to-sender label on the original, unopened mailer

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged, or if you have received the wrong item, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Any tests that have been opened from their manufacturer-sealed or Known-sealed packaging are not eligible for return.
